I am looking for a Maintenance Assistant / Administrator.
My client is looking to grow their maintenance department to assist in day to day support for its continually growing quarry and mining fleet. It's an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit team working within one of the country's leading mobile plant suppliers to the aggregates and minerals industry. The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience within the quarrying or construction sector, or experience in assisting breakdowns, dispatches or call-outs across a variety of sectors. This position will be based at the company's head offices in Caldicot and will report directly into the Head of Field Service.
Job Roles / Duties
Opening, updating and closing repair and service jobs for machines across the fleet
Obtaining parts quotes, updating delivery status and raise/close purchase orders where necessary
Assist in arranging engineer call outs
Enter and record machine defects through daily tick-sheets and inspections
Update machine records and report on regulatory compliance, such as brake testing or LOLERs
Other various supporting administrative tasks for the Assets and Maintenance department
Job Requirements
Experience within a data entry/processing administrative role needed.
Ideal candidate is dynamic, intelligent and logically minded with focus put on organisation and efficiency. They will have to work to tight deadlines under pressure given amount of multi-tasking the position requires
IT proficient minimum of competent to advanced skill level needed in Excel.
Experience of working on asset database systems preferred, Syrinx ideally.
Excellent communication skills will need to liaise with suppliers, fitters, site personnel and office personnel.
Job will be within a team but must be able to work independently
Salary £21,000- £25,000 per annum
Hours 08:30 17:00; Monday to Friday
Holidays 23 days plus statutory bank holidays
Benefits Death in Service (2 x Salary), Pension (3% employer)
