Senior Application Engineer in London - JAM Recruitment Ltd

A leading CAE Consultancy is seeking to recruit a Senior Application Engineer to work on a permanent basis from their site in the West Midlands with hybrid working available.
The Role

This role will involve liaising with new and existing clients to maximise the benefit of CAE implementation.
You will also be responsible for a small team of CAE Engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Sales Team throughout the sales cycle and execute customer meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
Use technical product knowledge to identify customer pain points, analyse technical needs, understand customer's current infrastructure and engineering workflows.
Create and deliver compelling demonstrations of solutions to add value to a customer's business.
Work with Sales and Marketing teams to produce technical content.
Provide customers with training on software products.
Stay current with the latest software releases and work with the software team to help guide future product development.
Build valuable and long-lasting relationships with existing and future clients.
Work across various teams and disciplines to develop new ideas to solve complex business problems.
Coach staff to identify areas of improvement and encourage staff to improve and develop to meet both their own and the company's targets.
Work closely with team members to communicate company goals and identify areas for new training and skills development.
Communicate regularly with management and identify and implement strategies to improve team performance and support with staff hiring and training.
Encourage proactivity within the team and enable team members to push boundaries of technology, explore new challenges, and implement new methodologies and workflows within the business.
Experience
5-10 years of experience using CAE tools in an engineering environment
Experience with using CAE/CFD simulation software involving real world, industry level applications.
Diverse use of CAE tools across multiple disciplines is a must.
Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer.
Experience managing or leading a small team.
Familiarity with numerical solution techniques used in FEA and CFD.
Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a software company in a Presales or Technical Account Management role.
PhD degree a plus.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in an engineering software environment is a plus.
Experience with programming languages (TCL/Python or similar)
