Accountant in Northallerton - CV-Library

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join a fantastic business in Northallerton. Working in a brand new role, this is a great opportunity for a local candidate. Their ideal person will have a strong background in management accounts and be capable of handling a wide range of financial duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Analyse financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures.
Provide strategic analysis and advice to management.
Manage accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
Coordinate and complete annual audits.
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Meet financial accounting objectives.
Establish and maintain files and records to document transactions.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong experience in management accounting and general ledger functions.
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
