Workshop Engineer (plant industry)

£40,000 - £44,000 (On target earnings of £60,000 + a vehicle)

Northampton based with occasional travel to customer sites.

My client are a UK subsidiary of European manufacturer who produce a comprehensive range of specialist piling rigs and construction equipment across the UK. They have a substantial hire fleet of piling rigs, attachments, drilling rigs and piling hammers as well as
associated plant and equipment. Due to planned expansion, my client are looking for qualified engineers who have experience within the plant industry or working on a similiar equipment, to join their engineering team.

This is a Monday to Friday days role which will involve some minor amounts of travel- the ideal candidate will be looking for a hands on heavy engineering role where there is lots of overtime, a great team already in place and good training programmes.

Workshop Engineer Job Duties:

* Carry out preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, servicing and repairs on manufactured machinery and equipment (yard based and site work).

* Where need be, visit customers job sites and their plant yards around the country to provide full-service

* Assist with the commissioning of new or hired machinery and equipment.

* Training customers machine operators and service personnel when/as required.

* Look after after all aspects of machine function: engines; hydraulic
systems; electrical systems, and control systems.

* Control of parts and spares in service vehicle.

* Fault finding and diagnostic skills.
