Senior C++ Software Engineer (Motorsport), Oxfordshire. £50,000 - £70,000
  
Our client are a globally recognised motorsport brand and are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join their team to deliver continuous improvement of simulation tools and models.
  
This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity. This unique and hugely rewarding role will see the successful candidate developing and maintaining lap simulation tools. Previous experience of lap simulation or optimal control would be hugely advantageous.
  
The responsibilities of the Senior C++ Software Engineer include:

Developing state-of-the-art simulation tools and related models that are easy to use, modify and maintain.
Integrating those tools and models with the wider software and data-handling infrastructure.
Supporting use of the tools for development and optimisation of vehicle performance.
Helping to create and maintain a plan for delivery of the tools and models.
Helping to define the development strategy.   
The ideal Senior C++ Software Engineer will have:

Excellent technical ability, with a strong degree in engineering or a related discipline.
Great organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
Self-motivation, innovative ideas and will enjoy new challenges/problem-solving tasks.
A collaborative attitude with good teamworking ability.
Commitment to continuous improvement.
5+ years of C++ development, ideally including experience with C++17/20.
Ideally experience of at least one of the following:
o Optimal control
o Automatic differentiation
o Vehicle modelling
o Multi body dynamics
