Test Engineer – Python  – Wiltshire-  Circa £65,000 DoE
 
Our client, a much-admired advanced engineering business that designs state-of-the-art robotic control systems is seeking a Python Test Engineer to write test scripts for applications involving both software and hardware. They are specialists in creating advanced engineering solutions for clients on an international scale.
 
This is a great opportunity for a Test Engineer experienced with Python to get involved in advanced engineering systems involving components such as hardware to ML and work on highly automated test applications whilst also testing complex systems for functional safety, and cyber security requirements.
 
Responsibilities:

Create automated test scripts in Python for system tests.
Support the verification and validation considering all elements of the test life cycle
Provide support on test systems around software and hardware applications.
Derive test cases to demonstrate the functionality and robustness.
Manage defect detection, tracking and resolution through JIRA and integrated toolchains.
Present reports and findings to the engineering team, management, and external customers.
Write clear technical reports, including test strategies, test plans, test cases and incident reports. 
Experience

5 years’ experience designing system tests
Expert knowledge of developing test applications in Python.
Experience in any of the following industries desirable: Engineering, Med Tech, Advanced Engineer, Automotive, Aerospace, Defence
Experience in developing test scripts for automated system testing.

Salary Circa £65,000 DoE
