Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our Market Drayton Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

As a Transport Planner you will effectively assemble loads / deliveries and resource the correct transport requirements.

Salary: £33,759 per annum. 

Working hours: Sunday-Thursday, 8:30am-17:00pm.

Key Duties of Transport Planner:

Efficiently utilising the Culina networks fleet.
Planning loads centrally for all Culina Chill sites, including Group intervention.
Assembling 400 + multi drop / consolidated loads in every 24 hour period.
Planning approximately 200 + collections to clients agreed KPI.
Resourcing correct transport requirements for each site, keeping sub-contract to a minimum.
Exceeding agreed KPIs.
Liaising daily with personnel across different levels (Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Colleagues).
Proactively looking for conscientious improvements.
Dealing with day to day operational issues.
Dealing with client requests.
Other duties as reasonably required.

Qualifications

Attention to detail / accuracy.
Good geographical knowledge.
Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Good communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
Able to work on own or as part of a team.
CPC desirable but not essential.
Proactive decision maker.
