Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistical and Planning Manager to lead, plan and oversee all the administration for the SQE and Deep cleaning teams around a rail network for our client. As the SQE and Deep Clean Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring the successful closure of jobs and all the relevant reporting whilst adhering to strict timelines and rectification dates. Please note this role may involve travelling to site, with expenses for this covered by the business. 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Planning: Develop and run comprehensive schedules of work, including proactive and reactive works within strict deadlines, in collaboration with stakeholders and relevant teams. Ensure that all reported failures are closed out and the necessary photographic evidence is supplied within the defined deadline times and dates. 
Resource Management: Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal execution and adherence to plans. Ensure the labour resource is consistently and effectively delivered in line with the budgetary and KPI scope of the clients requirements. 
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate teams, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure the achievement of all SQE and Depp clean objectives. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address obstacles. Proactively manage issues to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables. 
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates, reports, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the daily requirements of the contract deliverables.

Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. It may be necessary to Conduct inspections and quality checks at various sites. 
Budget and Cost Control: Monitor costs, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure all works are completed within budgetary constraints. 
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, tracking schedules, and relevant records. Prepare and send weekly and monthly reports to the client and senior management as required.

Requirements:

Interest in managing rail or transportation projects, demonstrating strong administration and people management skills or willingness to grow these by working closely with our site and operations managers.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and engage stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office software such as SharePoint and Excel for data capture. 
Strong understanding of rail industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
