Key Purpose of Role

Support the Accounts Team Manager with monthly payroll. Responsibility for own set of purchase ledger accounts, weekly wages and subcontractor payments.

To thoroughly check all information is accurate, with the correct level of approval and to investigate or challenge where discrepancies found.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

Responsibility for own set of supplier accounts, processing invoices, seeking authorisation, resolving queries and statement reconciliation.

Reconciliation and processing of utility invoices

Reconciliation and processing of company fleet invoices

Checking and processing weekly staff labour wages through payroll

Processing weekly subcontractor wages through Hudson

Weekly subcontractor payment processing

Prepare monthly payroll for review - including commission & expense claims

Providing support to the team’s workload, where necessary.

Person Specification: Accounts Assistant Inc Payroll

Skills / Attributes

GCSE – English & Maths Grade A-C or equivalent

Experience

Experience of working in a similar role in a fast-paced Accounts Department for minimum of 4 years

Experience of working with COINS (desirable)

AAT qualified (desirable) or demonstrable QBE

Key knowledge and skills

High level of attention to detail

Proven literacy and numeracy skills.

Microsoft Excel intermediate or higher

Good verbal and written communication skills

Can manage own workload to a high standard and on time
