Job Description

Highways Electrician Jointer

Location: Devon (on the road)

Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum plus bonus and benefits

Our client is looking for a Highways Electrician to join their team in either Plymouth, Exeter, or Barnstaple.

Responsibilities:

* Support the teams in the installation and removal of street lighting and highways’ electrical street furniture across the Devon region, including connections to DNO/IDNO Network.

* Erect and remove street lighting columns and signs.

* Provide joint holes, prepare cables for jointing, and conduct jointing of service/mains alongside a Jointers Mate.

* Operate general and specialist company vehicles and specialist plant and machinery, including HGV with a lorry-mounted crane.

* Conduct on-site risk assessments and attend emergency call-outs as necessary.

* Ensure exceptional service delivery to clients and the general public, adhering to strict safety guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:

* Experience as a Highways Electrical Jointer.

* Relevant authorizations to carry out 3-phase underground connections to DNO/IDNO networks.

* Qualification or experience in LV Single Phase Service Cables and Terminations, and Remove & Replace Cutout / Secondary Wiring Fuses (Single phase only).

* Full UK Driving Licence.

* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
