We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse role at Gatwick IRC to join our team. The detention centre is run for the Home Office by Care and Custody, a division of the Serco with Practice Plus Group providing healthcare services to all residents since September 2021..
Our Primary Care and mental health team normally work long days which are
7 am - 7.30 pm with night shifts  working 7 pm - 7.30 am.
This position is full time 37.5 hours  a week and you’ll receive an annual salary up to £41,265 per annum - depending on experience. 
 
Golden Hello - £3,000  (£1,000 in 6 months of service, £1,000 after 12 months and £1,000 after 24 months of service - conditions apply).

Please note, in order to apply for a position at Gatwick IRC , all applicants need to have been living in the United Kingdom (with residency in the UK, such as UK/Irish/EU Passport, or an Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa)for the last 3 years with no more than a 28 day break being outside of the UK and no gaps in employment during this time.

What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse (Adult) you’ll be an integral part of the healthcare team at Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre by bringing you clinical skills and passion for care. You could be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.
 
Knowledge in therapeutic interventions such as CBT or Steps to Wellbeing is desirable but transferable clinical skills will be considered with appropriate training provided.
You will have a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever-changing.
You should possess a good working knowledge of conducting risk assessments and care planning as well as someone who is creative and forward-thinking to work through the issues that may arise in this challenging but exciting environment.
