Based in the heart of Cardiff, they are a thriving fintech creating asset management and equipment finance software for a range of multinational clients; their software is well proven all over Europe.

They’re a late stage scale up but backed by a large multinational group so It’s a fast-paced environment; you’ll be working on multiple workstreams and delivering high quality products; the team have regular social activities and they have a nurturing and motivating culture.

About the role:

As a Lead PL/SQL Engineer, your role will be split 50/50 between leading a team and designing, developing, and maintaining PL/SQL-based applications.

You will be responsible for leading on various deliveries and providing guidance and mentorship to more junior colleagues.

Working in cross-functional teams within a true Agile environment, you will deliver high-quality software solutions for end clients and partners.

Day to day, you will be collaborating with technical and non-technical team members as well as reviewing deliveries and looking for improvements.

Your responsibilities will include participating in the full software development lifecycle, ensuring code quality and scalability, and collaborating with management and architects to drive improvements in development practices and technology.

Requirements:

Strong leadership skills – we’re looking for someone who can get the best out of the team

A minimum of 5 years’ experience with PL/SQL

2 days per week in the Cardiff office

We are unable to offer Visa sponsorship for this role, we cannot consider Post Study Work Visas that require sponsorship after 2 years for this reason.
