Temporary Works Coordinator’s / Assistant Temporary Works Coordinator’s

6 months rolling contract

Located in Huddersfield (flexible working arrangements)

£350 – £450 per day

VGC are currently recruiting for a the Temporary Works team and looking for a number of Coordinators on a major tier one contractor working on one of the UK's biggest rail projects in the Huddersfield/Manchester area. 

DUTIES:

Process the design briefs and ensure all the required information is passed on to the Designers.
Check the implementation and maintenance of the works.
Ensure TW documentation is adequately maintained within the site management systems.
Register or record the drawings, calculations and other relevant documents relating to the final design.
Attending meetings with the site team to determine most suitable construction methodology and solution.
Ensure the successful demobilisation of the temporary works.
Ensure fully TW control including permits to load and deload
Evaluate and appoint TW Supervisors
Attend regular Temporary Works design review meetings to monitor progress on the designs to ensure they will be available for use when the site team needs them.
Ensure that those responsible for on-site supervision/construction receive full design details with significant risks and design limitations are highlighted.
Attend regular Temporary Works Co-ordinator meetings to gain an overview on what work is ongoing on the project and be able to assist in other work areas if required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previously worked in Temporary Works experience / understanding
Civil engineering / background
Previous rail experience is a preference
Must have completed a CITB or similar accredited TWC course recently.
Have sufficient knowledge and experience to liaise with the designers
CSCS
Civil/Structural Engineering qualification preferred
