Job Description

Our client are a leading, super prime property development company renowned for its unrivalled reputation across Southern England for building prestigious homes of the highest quality to the North and South of the River Thames.

They are seeking a professional, driven and confident Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team due to internal promotion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading two, client build mansion projects in Surrey that feature swimming pools, cinema rooms, high levels of M&E and internal finishings.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Ensure accurate and timely cost control
* Prepare tenders, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
* Conduct detailed cost analyses and prepare cost estimates, including risk assessments
* Monitor and control project costs, ensuring compliance with budgets and contractual obligations
* Prepare financial reports, including cash flow projections and cost forecasts
* Provide expert advice on commercial and contractual matters
* Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and value engineering measures
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure optimal project outcomes

**Qualifications and Experience:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
* 5+ years of progressive experience in a quantity surveying role
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with proven ability to handle large datasets
* Strong understanding of construction contracts, tendering procedures, and financial management
* Experience in using construction cost estimating software (e.g.COINS)
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
