Based in Leeds, this company is looking for a Transport Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to make a tangible impact.
The Role:
The Transport Planner will be pivotal in orchestrating the daily transport operations. Your day-to-day will involve crafting efficient routes and fleet optimisations that not only meet but exceed customer expectations within a multi-user, multi-drop environment. You'll ensure every plan is cost-effective and tightly integrated with vehicle maintenance schedules to uphold superb service continuity.
The Candidate:
* A minimum of 2+ year’s experience in transport planning, ideally gained in a fast paced, Haulage and / or 3PL environment.
* Experience of sub-contraction would be highly advantageous.
* Multi-Drop knowledge is advantageous.
* A knack for IT, Transport Planning & TMS systems, creating slick, smart routes.
* Analytical prowess to dissect costs and performance, fine-tuning them into a well-oiled logistical machine.
* Stellar communication skills, because you’ll be at the heart of conversations with both customers and internal teams.
