Senior Buyer in Cumbernauld - CV-Library

Our FMCG client has created a new role within their procurement team for a Senior Buyer.

The Senior Buyer will be responsible for FM, Maintenance and Services that are required for the site which includes electrical/mechanical services, grounds work and roofing to name but a few.

The Senior Buyer will work closely with their colleagues in engineering and maintenance to understand their requirements and provide a network of vetted Suppliers to support their needs.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Leading end-to-end competitive tenders for goods and services
Negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and commercial agreements
Sourcing of new suppliers and vetting them to mitigate risk to the business
Build and develop business relationships with Suppliers and carry out regular performance reviews
Work closely with colleagues and maintain strong working relationships with them
Provide regular reporting to the Procurement Manager and the business
Continually identify areas of continuous improvementExperience and knowledge required for the role:

Proven experience of working in a similar purchasing/procurement role
Experience in procuring FM, Maintenance and Services
End-to-end procurement experience
Strong negotiation, commercial and numerical skills
Excellent communication skills who can confidently work with colleagues and suppliers
Work on own initiative and manage own workload
Drive change for the good of the business
