Job Description

My client is taking the mechanical electrical building services space by storm and due to expected business growth they are in the process of an internal restructure to allow for more progression and support to their Surveying team.

This has led to my client seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor for their Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Commercial Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Healh and Education buildings, infrastructure buildings across England. The individual must be forward thinking and client facing to match the nature of my client. This is a stellar opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to have great exposure with a recognised M&E contractor who take great pride of their engineering structure, to deliver some of the most technical builds in England, whilst wanting the opportunity to further progress their career.

Responsibilities

The preparation, submission and agreement of Interim Applications and Final Accounts Liaise with the Contracts Managers in the procurement of Sub-Contractor packages and the preparation of the Sub-Contract documents. Supporting the monitoring of the progress of the Works The preparation and submission of contractual notices and / or correspondence to both the Client and Sub-Contractors Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets Attend monthly commercial meetings to provide update on any ongoing contract specific negotiations and overall job performance. Compile monthly progress reports for both the Contracts team & Commercial Manager. preparing material and subcontractor procurement, valuation of works and financial reporting. Liaising, negotiating, and relationship building with clients and consultants on an on-going basis. Be responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations and change orders. Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope.
