Recruitment Specialist (Contingent Labour Team)
Based - Preston – Channel Way
12 month contract
£16.46 PAYE or £21.40 Umbrella
Hybrid working model – 37 hours per week
Role description
The Recruitment Specialist will engage hiring managers in a consultative capacity to ensure that they have the right people, in the right place, at the right time. The role holder will take ownership and accountability to ensure the team delivers resource plans across the sectors, from initial sourcing of CV's right through to first day readiness.
The role holder will be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to act independently with minimal supervision to provide advice and guidance based on recruitment best practice, market conditions, and being a subject matter expert to facilitate the overall recruitment process.
Typical duties include (but are not limited to):
Support the day to day co-ordination of teams workflow activities in line with timescales
Taking ownership and responsibility of escalated requests and queries/complaints to resolution
Building and developing effective and collaborative relationships with colleagues and Stakeholders
Ensuring correct processes are followed in line with procedures and agreed work instruction
Supporting continuous improvement projects and implementation of new processes within the Contingent Recruitment Team .
Optimise the contingent recruitment service, through the review of existing working practices and processes and by identifying and recommending areas for enhancement
Working with hiring managers from initial vacancy consultation until first day readiness, setting and managing expectations and offering a world class end to end recruitment service
Managing relationships with the agencies on the preferred suppliers list and ensure they fully support the contingent recruitment campaigns
Working as part of a team to ensure KPI's and SLA's are achieved
Providing advice and guidance based on recruitment best practice, market conditions, and being a subject matter expert to facilitate the overall recruitment process
Providing regular and timely communications, ensuring candidates and hiring managers are efficiently engaged and supported throughout the recruitment cycle
Ability to manage high volume and a variety of vacancies across a specific business area

Knowledge:
Recruitment processes
Extensive recruitment experience and using Applicant Tracking System platforms
Ability to understand and champions the importance of data integrity, timely and accurate reporting and uses this information to run efficient processes
Experience of recruiting volume campaigns as well as unique roles and the variances in between
Ability to define service offerings that deliver value to the customer
Experience of delivering to and working with service level agreements and service definitions.
Ability to resolve multiple highly complex operational issues
Confidence and ability to challenge and influence at all levels internally and externally

Skills:
Ability to build trust & Key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent IT skills, in particular MS Word and MS Excel
Committed to learning and continuous improvement
Ability to work at a fast pace, sometimes working under pressure to challenging deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communications skills
Self motivated, enthusiastic team player with a positive ‘can do' attitude
Ability to prioritise and organise own workload and the workload of team members
Excellent presentation, communication, engagement and influencing skills
Operational delivery and customer service excellence mindset
Must have - Recruitment experience (agency/ internal recruitment background)
