Michael Page are currently supporting a leading manufacturer based in St Helens, in their search for a Continuous Improvement Technician, with an aim to support and drive cost savings across the manufacturing process.

Client Details

The business are a market leading OEM that supply specialised products into automotive and non automotive synchronous drive applications. The business are entering an exciting phase of developing and marketing a new generation of sustainable value add products.

Description

As the Continuous Improvement Technician you will report into the CI/4IR Manager and will be tasked with driving cost improvements throughout all areas of the manufacturing teams; Production, Quality, Engineering, Health and Safety in order to maintain the businesses competitiveness in the market place. By liaising efficiently with each department, you will develop strategies in order to identify cost/time saving opportunities, whilst delivering on LEAN projects in order to drive sustainable changes across the business. You will be expected to create analytics to document your findings and report this efficiently to line.

Duties:

Communicating effectively with each individual department in order to drive cost improvements and operational cost savings across the manufacturing teams.
Work proactively to develop and implement strategies focused on cost saving and process optimization
Facilitate cross departmental cooperation to ensure effect implementation of cost saving measures.Profile

The successful Continuous Improvement Technician will be a LEAN champion, with an evident background of driving cost improvements within manufacturing settings. Having delivered on CI projects previously you will utilize LEAN methodologies and Six Sigma processes in order to reach your targets.

Skills

Minimum of LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt
Degree level or equivalent qualification in the relevant field
A data driven individual with an eye for detail and is comfortable working with Quality tools/techniques
An excellent working knowledge of LEAN methodologies in order to improve Yield, Output, Safety and Quality
A solid background in problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills
Technical/Project Management report writing skills
Autonomous and self-motivated attitude with an ability to influence all areas of the organisation.Competencies -

Circa - £40,000 per annum
