Halcyon Health and Social Care ais currently seeking a Healthcare Assistant on behalf of one of our clients, a charitable organisation in Gloucestershire dedicated to providing exceptional care for the elderly at a Nursing Home located in Painswick, near Stroud.

Job Responsibilities:

Assisting with Personal Care: Aid residents with tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their dignity and privacy are maintained.
Mobility Support: Helping residents with mobility issues to move around safely, including transferring them from beds to chairs or assisting with walking.
Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Supporting residents with eating, drinking, and other activities necessary for daily life.
Providing Emotional Support: Offering companionship, listening to residents, and providing emotional support and reassurance when needed, fostering a caring and compassionate environment.
Reporting and Documentation: Documenting observations, care provided, and any changes in residents' conditions accurately and promptly in their medical records, ensuring effective communication with the healthcare team.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensuring that residents' living spaces, communal areas, and equipment are clean, tidy, and hygienic, helping to prevent the spread of infection.
Participating in Training and Development: Engaging in ongoing training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills, staying updated on best practices and regulations in healthcare.
Promoting Resident Wellbeing: Encouraging residents to participate in social activities, hobbies, and exercises to promote physical and mental wellbeing, and maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Requirements for Role:

Experience in caregiving is preferred but not essential, as all necessary training will be provided.
A compassionate and caring demeanour, with a genuine passion for people is essential.
Effective communication skills.
Open to candidates seeking a career change.
Willingness to undergo training and development.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
