Job Description

I'm working with a big organisation who are looking for a qualified accountant to join their finance function to cover a maternity leave which is due to start in Summer and finish 30/9/25.

This role will providing specialist support for financial transactions, ensuring the data integrity of finance systems, compliance with external regulation and internal policies and preparation of year end accounts and the accompanying external audit process.

What your duties will entail:

Day to day management of the external audit and year-end statutory reporting process.
Lead on the management of the year end audit
Providing strategic support and operational leadership for the Financial Reporting and Compliance Team
Lead on the provision of treasury management, preparation of cash flow forecasts and banking arrangements and provide investment proposal options to the Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance, to be presented to the CFO for approval.Required experience:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Large, complex business background
Lead on year end audit
Experience Managing a team of accountants
Advanced in accounting systems and Microsoft excel
Significant experience of leading a financial accounting function, contributing to the strategic development of financial reporting and compliance activities across a large organisationBenefits:
