SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Watford, UK
Role: Full-time, Term-time Only
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Salary: £13 - £15 per hour

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an SEN Learning Support Assistant in Watford.

Randstad are working with a dedicated SEN setting committed to providing outstanding support and education for children with a range of needs. This school, located in Watford, comprises of a team that is driven by compassion, innovation, and a shared goal of empowering every child to reach their full potential.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental progress of children with SEN.

Your responsibilities:

Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individualised learning plans
Providing one-to-one support to students with specific needs
Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Collaborating with other staff members and professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of each child
Supporting students with activities of daily living and learning
Assisting specialist teachers and education teams to ensure learners have a consistent approach to their educationRequirements:

Previous experience working with children with SEN or in a care setting supporting children - desirable
A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their well-being and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience in handling challenging situations
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs
Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training as requiredWhy Join Us:
