Farm Sprayer Operator/Foreman in Boston - CV-Library

The Farming Company is a 1500ha arable farm operating on four farms across Mid Lincolnshire with the main sites being near Boston and Metheringham, Lincoln

We are seeking a lead sprayer operator that is willing to take ownership for their immediate role and to build their daily responsibilities within the business. We are looking for a committed individual to develop their role with us.

Due the nature of the business and the spread of the farm’s location, a self-motivated and confident individual is required.

Main Duties (but not limited to):

* Operating a self-propelled sprayer - carrying out applications to combinable crops, sugar beet and potatoes.

* General farm machinery operating and workshop repairs.

* Estate work and crop storage sites.

As your role develops, we would like to train you to provide a more complete role as follows:

* Seeking new opportunities and setting up precision farming.

* Communicating with managers and agronomist, discussing ideas, workload, and observations to achieve good levels of crop performance.

* Keen record keeping & stock management.

* Implementing change to improve our current working systems.

* Help to lead other parts of the farming operations during key times.

* Relief operating of key machines such as drilling, planting, harvesting.

Other:

* Full UK driving Licence

* PA1 & 2 (PA4, PA6 Desirable)

* NRoSO Member

* Forklift and rough terrain loader certificate.

* Foundation BASIS (Desirable)
