The Company:

A fantastic opportunity for a Kidswear Designer (License), to join a leading licensed character clothing company. Manufacture in the UK and source overseas, they offer day/nightwear, loungewear and swimwear. Design to the UK’s largest high street retailers and online companies.

The Role:

* Working closely with the sales team to interpret the customer’s design requirements.

* Translate these into design concepts then develop and sell the design concepts.

* Designing garments and cutting samples, taking into consideration both manufacturing and aesthetic design requirements.

* Planning and producing samples and visual aids to meet the customer’s requirements.

* Accurately completing Design Packs.

* Accurately completing Design Costing Sheets taking into account cost parameters.

* Attending weekly workload Design Meetings with the design team Leader.

* Assessing and evaluating design trends and identify areas of potential growth such as product or customer base.

* Attending customer & licensor meetings, take design briefs, understand styling guides and present ranges.

* Identifying concerns which may impact customer satisfaction.

* Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

* 3 years’ experience designing clothing products.

* Experience working with Licensors.

* Experience of computerized design packages, i.e. Illustrator/Adobe/ Photoshop.

* Experienced in dealing with customers.

* Can build relationships easily.

* Creative.
