Job Description

A friendly and established firm in Manchester is seeking a clinical negligence solicitor/legal executive to join their expanding clinical negligence department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinical negligence solicitor/legal executive at the beginning of their career, seeking a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of your own caseload in clinical negligence, including both pre-litigation and litigation matters.

* Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice to clients.

* Prepare and attend court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.

* Communicate effectively with clients, medical experts, and other relevant parties involved in the cases.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records.

* Collaborate with other members of the clinical negligence department to share knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

* Qualified solicitor or legal executive with ideally 1-2 years PQE in clinical negligence law, although candidates with up to 4 years PQE will be considered.

* Experience in handling both pre-litigation and litigation matters independently.

* Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.

* Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload effectively.

* Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to a supportive culture.
