Senior CAD Technician – Shopfitting

Our client is one of Leicestershire’s leading Shopfitters who have a team of around 35 who working throughout the UK with some of the UK’s leading brands and retailers. As well as shopfitting they also have a maintenance side to the business as well as producing exhibitions for a portfolio of clients.

Now looking for a Senior CAD Technician to join there team, the successful candidate will produce technical drawings for external suppliers in 2D AutoCAD which could be a metal display arm a counter for a high street shop to a full store layout.

This is an office based role for 5 days a week, occasionally you may need to go to site to survey but this will be very rare, there will be regular supplier visits.

Job Role

* CAD Technician position dealing with a range of shopfitting and fit out projects.

* Liasing regularly with both clients and the internal teams to gain a full understanding of the project brief.

* Producing 2D AutoCAD designs and developing concept ideas into full drawings for pricing.

* Detailing for joinery and fit-out.

* Collaborate with project teams and attend meetings as required.

* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing support and resolving queries.

Skills and Experience

* Ideal applicant must have 5 Years plus AutoCAD experience within the joinery sector.

* Must have a strong technical background in how things are made and put together

* Years of experience of various materials from joinery to metalwork.

* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

* Highly organized with good attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.

* Full UK Driving licence.

* Good team player who also works well individually.
