Regional Sales Manager - Farm Machinery Manufacturer

Do you have farm machinery sales experience?
Would you like to work for a manufacturer developing the dealer network?Location of the Job:

Home-based, covering Northern England - South Yorkshire to the Scottish Borders.
2 overnight stays for work, per week.Salary and Benefits Package:

Paying circa £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
Plus bonus scheme, up to 30% of salary.
Hybrid estate car - company vehicle.
Fantastic company pension scheme.

The Job Role Details:

As Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for implementing sales plans and strategies within the Northern England area, and you will analyse the business and sales trends within the region to suggest the best approaches to meet objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a business plan and sales strategy to ensure company sales goals and profitability are met.
Discuss, propose, and agree to annual sales objectives with dealers.
Collect, analyse and approve dealers' orders and send them to head office with the internal sales sheet completed.
Provide timely feedback to the National Sales Manager regarding territory trends & performance.
Manage and use the demonstration fleet to its full potential, ensure that dealers are proactively targeting the markets.
Seek out and target new dealers/customers and new sales opportunities for the company.
Ensure that dealers' sales staff are properly trained on the product. If necessary, provide the training or request the Training Manager to deliver the training.
Respond to dealers/customer requests and, if needed, liaise with the Aftersales department in order to solve the problem.
Collect information on competitors' actions and price and report it to the National Sales Manager.
Attend shows and events to support the dealer network & promote the company brand.
Manage the dealer network, make proposals for change wherever necessary.
Develop, maintain and improve business relations with all dealers/customers.
Monitor dealers' orders and stock in order to assure a smooth flow of orders, invoices and payments.
Monitor the assigned dealers' credit & payment situation.
Analyse areas of business growth potential.
Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
Provide monthly territory reports to the National Sales Manager.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of sales experience selling agricultural machinery or equipment.
Dealer development / dealer network sales experience.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Able to develop and maintain a sales network in Northern England.
Retail sales experience.
Knowledge of the UK agricultural and construction machinery markets.
Recognised relevant qualifications to HND equivalent or higher.
Hold a full UK Driving licence.
IT literate and be able to demonstrate competency using Microsoft 365 & CRM systems.
