About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Warehouse Shift Manager to oversee the handling of Fresh products at our logistics site.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse operatives and Team Managers ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse during their designated shift.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe handling of fresh products.
Plan and organise daily shift operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management through regular stock checks and audits.
Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Collaborate with other departments, such as transportation and inventory management, to optimise warehouse processes and meet operational goals.
Handle any issues or concerns that arise during the shift, including customer inquiries or delivery delays.

About You

Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a warehouse environment, preferably in the food retail industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.In return for your hard work we will offer you:
