About the Role

We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive individual to join a dynamic team in Newbury as a Crypto Tax Semi Senior. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in preparing tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, Partnerships, and Trusts. Your responsibilities will encompass administering client portfolios, submitting self-assessments, developing a keen understanding of crypto assets, platforms, exchanges, and tax reporting and providing basic tax planning advice.

Key Responsibilities

Administer a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.

Request and compile necessary information for self-assessments, advising on payment amounts and deadlines.

Identify and advise on basic tax planning opportunities for clients.

Maintain client relationships through effective communication via email and telephone, actively participating in client meetings.

Assist colleagues and directors with tax queries, conducting research when required.

Correspond with HMRC regarding routine tax matters and assist with handling HMRC enquiries.

Undertake tax planning research projects and prepare reports summarising findings.

Prepare capital gains tax calculations and maintain relevant databases.

Draft budgets and bills for director approval.

Stay up-to-date with professional CPD requirements and develop a keen understanding of crypto assets, platforms, exchanges, and tax reporting to support the Senior Tax Manager.

Ensure compliance with the firm’s Anti-money laundering policies.

Assist with the P11D process for clients, including preparation and filing with HMRC.

Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreements for review and submission.

Experience/Skills

ATT qualification or equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a tax environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax software.

Understanding of the Company and Role.
