What will you be doing?

A Material Sourcing Sales Manager is to lead a team in effectively sourcing and procuring materials that align with the company's strategic objectives, while ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical standards, and driving continuous improvement to meet business objectives.

You will:

Understanding local and national market conditions, competitors & opportunities for growth by having a detailed understanding of trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities or risks

Develop and manage the sales pipeline through extensive relationships and partnerships, ensuring proper allocation of resources to support growth in line with overall strategy

Monitor financial performance, analyse financial reports, and identify opportunities for sales optimisation and revenue growth.

Create and implement strategies to improve profitability and meet financial targets

Identify potential business opportunities, develop strategic plans, and implement initiatives to expand the customer base.

Formulate effective pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with customers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment to overall strategy

Foster relationships with key stakeholders, industry partners, and regulatory agencies to enhance business operations and market presence.

Monitor the competitive landscape and develop and drive strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Effectively deliver and promote succinct business related messages and strategies to future customers

What are we looking for?

Strong leadership and management skills, with prior experience in overseeing a sales team.

Degree in business administration or a related field or proven experience in sales and business development within the recycling industry (Desirable)

CIWM member, ideally with specific waste management qualification (Desirable)

Proven experience in sales and business development within the recycling industry.

Strong leadership and management skills, with prior experience in overseeing a sales team.

Additional certifications or training in sales, leadership, or supply chain management.

Knowledge of G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs)
