Fire Sentry – Industrial Operative

Shifts: Various shifts ranging from 0600/0730 to 1700/1800 with a backshift from (Apply online only), arranged weekly

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Sentry Duties:

* Monitor ongoing hot work operations such as welding, burning, grinding, and gouging.

* Protect ship fittings and equipment before commencing work

* Keep hot work materials cool by dampening metal work or extinguishing any fires that occur

* Raise the alarm promptly in case fire or any other incident, following established protocol

Safety Measures:

* Remove all combustible items from both the hot work side and the return side.

* Keep the work area clean and tidy.

* Protect equipment and fittings that cannot be removed using fire blankets.

* Inspect adjacent compartments for paint, lagging, and other flammable materials.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Perform cleaning duties as required and where necessary
