Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Highways Engineer to join their dynamic team and lead various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering, with a focus on project management and design. The primary responsibilities include generating comprehensive project documentation, conducting risk assessments and audits, overseeing project design management, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing mentorship to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

* Generate comprehensive project documentation, encompassing drawings, schedules, cost estimates, and tender and contract documents.

* Conduct risk assessments, traffic surveys, and road safety audits to ensure project feasibility and safety compliance.

* Demonstrate proficiency in various ICT software, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, to facilitate project design and documentation.

* Oversee day-to-day project design management, including supervising designs and coordinating with stakeholders.

* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and appoint consultants for CDM leadership to maintain project safety standards.

* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members to foster a collaborative team environment and promote professional development.

* Support various meetings and contribute to business/investment cases by providing technical expertise and insights.

* Prepare thorough project documentation, including drawings, schedules, cost estimates, and tender and contract documents, to facilitate project execution and management.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.

* Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification required.

* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant ICT software.

* Strong understanding of CDM regulations and experience in ensuring compliance.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

* Proven track record of successfully managing infrastructure projects from conception to completion.

* Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
