Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a QA Supervisor to join our Clients dedicated and friendly Night Shift Team. You will need to be a team player with previous experience of team management in a technical role. Acting as part of a hands on Technical team, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the site based QA team, ensuring our products are produced to high quality standards, against our standards, our customer standards and within safety and legality requirements.

You will:

* Coordinating and informing departments of changes to the Quality Policy or Procedures;

* Complete internal audits, as well as plan and schedule internal audits to train personnel on site;

* Completion and review of process control sheets relating to quality and food safety. To liaise with management regarding proper implementation, and to generate any pallet on hold information;

* Investigate product quality problems relating to ingredients, finished products and waste, analysing the root cause of problems and seeking improvements to reduce issues;

* To create and update in-house specifications as required;

* Issue control of specifications, work instructions and operating procedures;

* To assist during audits and traceability audits to ensure documentation is available and accurate;

* Support the Technical team to ensure accurate test requests and records are kept using an external test laboratory;

* To prepare all product samples, swabs, water samples etc. to a set sampling plan and ensure they are sent to the laboratory in a timely manner, ensuring samples are retained as a back-up sample in case out of spec results being confirmed by the laboratory and all samples are registered on the system;

* To assist in the monitoring & policing of allergen control from intake to despatch;

* To assist the Technical Managers in monthly traceability through collation of all relevant documentation;

* To collate technical reports and KPI reports as required;

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable request as required by your manager. In addition, you will undertake any training that the company deems necessary that may assist you to effectively carry out the above responsibilities.

* Ability to work under pressure

* Flexibility, reliability and good timekeeping

* Level 3 HACCP and Level 3 Food Safety

* Internal audit training (preferred)

* Proactive attitude towards continuous improvement

What we can offer you:

Working pattern of 4on/4off - 18:00 to 06:00

£16.62 per hour DOE
