The Company

Our client is the National Airport for Wales and an important part of the national transport infrastructure and key gateway to the UK for international visitors.

There are 13 airlines currently making regular use of the airport’s facilities, which include KLM, TUI, Aer Lingus (Emerald), Ryanair, Vueling, Eastern and Loganair.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified and experienced Electrical Technician to join the Facilities Maintenance Team.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician (Electrical) will be responsible for assisting the department with all aspects of effective facilities maintenance.

The post holder will primarily be responsible to help successful delivery of the planned maintenance regime, fulfilling its statutory obligations, whilst also providing a breakdown reactive response harmonising both customer and organisational requirements.

About you

The successful candidate will be pro-active with the ability to work individually and as part of a team. The post holder will have a proven track record in general electrical installation work, knowledge and awareness of fault finding and Health & Safety with the ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders.

You will have a keen focus on developing your individual skills and competencies, whilst also supporting the development and skills of the team with a willingness to learn Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) Systems.

The individual will be part of a Rolling 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 12 hour shifts

Key Requirements

Indentured electrical apprenticeship or similar

18th Edition Wiring Regulations Requirements for Electrical Installations

Full UK Driving License

Experienced in General electrical Installation Work

Has great knowledge on Fault finding and repair of fixed wiring

Health and Safety Awareness

Inspection and Testing 2391 (Desirable)

AGL or airfield experience (Desirable- Training will be offered in the role if successful)
