About the role:

3 days (36 hours) a week ( 12 hour shifts)
No OOH, on call or weekend shifts
Fully staffed inhouse OOH team to hand over too
Fully staffed day team to manage day to day cases
Salary of £55,000 - £65,000 a year depending on experience.
We are looking for an experienced and approachable team player who has an active interest in internal medicine. Ideally a certificate holder or studying towards one.

Based at a large Brighton hospital this 3 days a week, this role is focused on being part of the growing medicine and emergency team. You would be taking an active role in managing the large caseload from a few branches and subscribing practices.

About us:

We are a large hospital in the centre of Brighton, with 5 fully equipped branch practices and covering OOH for multiple other practices in the Brighton area.

Our Brighton hospital has 8 consulting rooms, dedicated Cat, dog, exotic, isolation and day procedure wards. Three theatres, and prep areas, CT, dental suite and full inhouse lab with a dedicated lab technician.

Two dedicated hospital vets manage our hospitalised medical caseload daily, and work alongside two surgeons, separate exotics team and our small animal consulting vets. All supported by our fantastic nursing and support teams. Three night veterinary surgeons and nurses cover for our OOH.

Our team has multiple certificate holders and colleagues with a huge range of clinical interests and expertise, including referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics.

We are committed to continuing the further development of our team members, with ample opportunity for learning and development through dedicated in-house and external CPD.

A little bit more about you:

MRCVS
ECC / internal medicine qualification or working towards
Confident with diagnostic imaging (xrays, US +/- CT)
Ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels
Being able to prioritise work based on clinical priority and importance
A proven problem solver
Attention to detail in all aspects of role - consistently produces work to the highest standard.
