Job Description

Our client is seeking a friendly vet to join their team on a part-time basis. Situated just 30 minutes northwest of Manchester City Centre and less than an hour from the coast at Formby, the location offers an ideal setting for those seeking an active lifestyle. With Manchester International Airport only 30 minutes away, it provides easy access for travel or visits back home.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals, comprising 3 Vets (including one with a special interest in dermatology), 4 RVNs, 2 VCAs, and 2 CCAs, all led by the three owners. This part-time role (up to 30 hours per week) aims to alleviate pressure on the existing vets and enhance flexibility in the rota and time off. The role offers the opportunity for occasional sole charge duties, particularly on weekends (1 in 4). While a couple of years’ experience is preferred, support is available for those starting their careers in veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct consultations and, if interested, surgeries with a focus on patient care and client satisfaction.

* Collaborate effectively with the close-knit team to ensure smooth practice operations and client service.

* Participate in occasional sole charge responsibilities, particularly on weekends.

Requirements:

* Minimum of a couple of years’ experience in the veterinary industry preferred.

* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.

* Flexibility to adapt to various aspects of veterinary practice, including consultations, surgeries, and occasional sole charge responsibilities.

* Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and client service.

Benefits:

* In addition to a competitive salary, Our client offers:

* A contributory pension scheme.

* Access to private health insurance.

* A 20% discount on Vets4Pets, Pets at Home, and the Groom Room.

* Access to the reward hub, featuring high street retail discounts.

* Support for further professional development, including certification opportunities.
