Are you an experienced sports coach with a passion for education? ABC Teachers is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Secondary School Cover Supervisor in Stoke-on-Trent.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sports coaching to make a meaningful impact in a school environment.

You will be expected to supervise and manage classrooms during the short-term absence of teachers by delivering pre-set lessons. You will need to manage student behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Key responsibilities:

Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects.
Maintain a positive learning environment conducive to student engagement and success.
Utilise your sports coaching experience to inspire and motivate students in extracurricular activities.

All schools located in Stoke on Trent and surrounding areas.

Onsite parking
Variety of different secondary schools giving you the chance to experience different settings.
Cover pre-set general/PE lessons across KS3 and KS4

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Sports Coach you will:

Previous experience working with children within the last 10 years.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subject areas.
A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students' lives.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship).

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

Previous experience working with children within the last 10 years.
