Purchasing and Demand Management Specialist

Location: Belper / Derbyshire
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

A brand-new opening with a innovative technology and electronics business! Are you ready to play a pivotal role in their growth journey? We are seeking an initiative-taking individual with procurement skills to join the team as a Purchasing and Demand Management specialist. You will collaborate with sales and production teams to ensure seamless coordination of forecasted shipments and optimal management of raw material stock levels, enabling delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Procuring component parts, equipment, and services across all departments.

* Implementing and maintaining MRP systems for accurate information.

* Monitoring and reporting on stock positions throughout the year.

* Collaborating with finance for precise reporting and forecasting.

* Identifying cost-saving opportunities with suppliers through process enhancements and continuous improvement strategies.

* Liaising with R&D to onboard new suppliers and negotiate contracts.

* Developing purchasing, supplier delivery, and production strategies.

* Ensuring supplier qualification, management, and audit compliance.

* Coordinating New Product Introduction (NPI) processes seamlessly.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Meticulous attention to detail.

* Consistent delivery of high-quality work.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to work independently under pressure.

* Proactive in process improvement.

* Diligence in compliance tasks.

* Ownership of issue resolution.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Required Technical Skills and Experience:

* Ideally hold CIPS Level 3+.

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electronic manufacturing.

Additional Requirements:

* You must be a UK National and be able to obtain and hold a high-level security clearance.

* The role is predominantly office-based with some remote work flexibility.

* Occasional travel within the UK may be necessary.
