With multiple sites in Shalford, Dunsfold, Warwick and a new purpose-built HQ on its way in Windlesham, the Gordon Murray Group continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for a Engineer - Exterior to join the team based in Shalford, Surrey.

Responsibilities:

Exterior Component Design: Lead and contribute to the design and development of exterior components, ensuring a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality. Utilize advanced engineering tools and methodologies to create innovative and visually striking exterior features.
Material Selection and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select and integrate materials that meet both design and performance requirements for exterior components. Explore sustainable materials and design practices to align with industry trends.
Aerodynamics and Styling: Work closely with aerodynamics and styling teams to integrate exterior components seamlessly into the overall vehicle design. Optimize exterior features for aerodynamic efficiency while maintaining a distinctive design language.
Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes for exterior components and oversee testing processes to ensure performance, durability, and safety. Analyze test data and implement design modifications based on results.
Quality Assurance: Uphold stringent quality standards in the design and development of exterior components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Contribute to the creation of comprehensive documentation, including design specifications and testing reports.Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in the design and development of exterior components within the automotive or engineering sector.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering design tools, such as CAD, and experience with prototyping and testing processes.
