Job Description

Purpose & Scope of Role:

The Sub Assembly Operators are critical to the client's production system. They are cross trained and skilled on a range of manual and CNC automated tooling to cut fabrics, plastics and produce laminates that go into our products for customers the world over.

With increasing demand in the market, we are expanding the Sub Assembly team and need experienced operators able to work on an evening shift pattern who integrate well with out team.

Main tasks include:

• Conduct Pre-Shift checks on equipment. Perform routine maintenance on sub-assembly equipment; report additional maintenance needs to their line manager.
• Follow safe systems of work (SSOW's) and operate in accordance with our Health & Safety Procedure.
• Maintain thorough quality and production documentation alongside every work order in accordance with product process.
• Follow prescribe methods for reporting production progress using software tools and team specific status boards
• Attend and contribute to shift handover meetings - understanding tasks assigned and being able to escalate concerns against achieving the plan
• Maintain a clean an orderly work area adhering to 5S guidelines.
• Kit completed items into clear consignments for multiple manufacturing locations.
• Escalate quality issues at earliest opportunity via the relevant channels.
• Contribute to the Production DMS (Daily Management System) via ownership of work area KPI board and shift-handover sheets.
• Where Sub-Assembly workload is low - alternate work to be undertaken in the Dry Cleaning & Kitting Cell
• Follow Health & Safety Guidelines as set out by the Company.

Essential Person Skills:

The key skills and qualities of a Sub Assembly Operator:

• Good English written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, standard operating procedures.
• Basic understanding of computer software incl. Microsoft Office suite.
• Confidence to Stop-Call-Wait for issues outside of your control or expertise.
• Work flexible shift patterns or earlies and evening shifts.
