Position Overview:

They are seeking a skilled Electrician to join the team based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and servicing tasks primarily in prisons and other commercial sites. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and company protocols.
Diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
Perform inspections and testing of electrical equipment and components to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to coordinate work schedules, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely completion of projects.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs, using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to colleagues and clients as needed, including participating in training sessions and workshops.

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent
18th Edition
AM2
2391 or Equivalent
Full UK Driving Licence
