Job Description

TXM Recruit are recruiting for an exciting growing business in Bicester, we are looking for a Quality Manager to develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across the Company through existing and new procedures, and to regulate, control and improve the quality of manufacturing designs, processes, and the final product.

Key Tasks

Implement and maintain all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)

Communicate with personnel on all levels of the business, internally and externally to the company, in relation to quality matters

Ensure that all in house systems and procedures are updated, revised and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies

Respond to customer complaints, putting in place containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures

Respond to warranty issues / field service issues, putting in place containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures

Update quality documentation to carry forward lessons learnt from quality concerns into new customer contracts.

Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits.

Ensure that all tools are calibrated to an agreed schedule

Supervision of QC and QA and personnel

Reduction of costs caused by poor supplier quality

Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.

Act as a change agent in respect of spreading the quality message across the company to alter attitudes, behaviour and work practices.

Train others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures.

Undertake internal audits of the QMS to an agreed schedule.

Approval of new suppliers via appropriate methods such as supplier audits

Ensure that records are maintained for the designated time

Analysing data and identify trends relating to non-conformances

Report against agreed quality metrics monthly.

Setting / Managing the departmental budget

Essential / Desirable Criteria

HNC or above in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering

Previous Quality Management System experience in the manufacturing industry

ISO9001 Lead Auditor Training

Strong leader

Experience in vehicle manufacturing industry

ISO14001 Lead Auditor Training
