LHH Recruitment Solutions are currently supporting a multinational organisation based in East Sussex with the recruitment of a Financial Controller role on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director you will have responsibility for managing the European central finance hub.

Key responsibilities will include:

Focus on working closely with the VP Europe, the VP Finance Director for BUEC and the local country Sales Manager, providing financial information both country specific and regional analysis.
Responsibility to continue to develop the centralisation hub structure of the Finance function, ensuring fiscal control are in place and cross training plans developed.
Work closely with the European HR director ensuring payroll, pension and employee benefits are in line with Group polices
Be fully engaged in the European budget process ensuring alignment with the local Sales Manager, VP Europe & VP Finance Director.
Providing financial presentation materials both monthly & quarterly highlighting areas of deviation to Plan and LY with explanation. The person would be expected to travel to European countries when required.
The role will be a partner to the external consultants appointed, to ensure Statutory, VAT, IntraStat & Taxation compliance for our European entities, providing, as requested, information from the finance teams.Key skills / experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong financial reporting background (ideally with European experience)
A track record of delivering focused efficiency improvement using data analysis
Excellent people management skills (will be managing a team of 5)
Ability to travel to other European offices as requiredDue to the location of the office you will need to be able to drive and have access to a car. The salary on offer is up to £95k and the company work on a hybrid basis
