Job Description

A well-established market leader in the aerospace industry are seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to join their team based in Southend-on-Sea. You will be responsible for system architecture and integration of electrical/electronic sub-systems into a range of products. If you are qualified to HNC/HND in Electrical, Systems or Electronic Engineering or above with experience the aerospace or defence industry then we want to hear from you.

Duties:

Provide system integration and guidance to Senior Design staff during initial phases of design on matters affecting system electrical architecture, software design and operation, design for EMC, wiring schematics and safety related issues.
Support capture of customer software and system requirements
Translate customer requirements into system and software product requirements
Prepare test procedures, reports and other documentation associated with product verification, validation and qualification
Participate in verification and qualification test activities
Support software validation testing to verify functionality corresponds to requirements
Prepare new electrical drawings and drawing modifications
Manage system requirements, open issues etc.
Attend meetings with suppliers, customers and airworthiness authorities as required

Experience:

Qualified to HNC/HND or above in Electrical, Systems or Electronics Engineering
Experience gained within the aerospace or defence industry is essential
Experience of design, testing or qualification of aircraft products is preferable
Experience of sub-system software requirements and testing of embedded systems/software is desirable
Use of LabVIEW and knowledge of C or C++ programming would be ideal
Experience of Electrical, EMC or software test plan creation as well as DO160 electrical and EMC test requirements are required.
Knowledge of electronic component selection and substitution is essential
A knowledge of aircraft electrical regulatory requirements would be beneficial

Hours 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, Finish at 1pm on Friday
