Are you a CNC / Machining Team Leader / Cell Leader looking for a new opportunity?

We are working on behalf of a reputable, precision engineering company located in Derbyshire that specializes in the manufacture, through fabrication and machining processes, of small to medium-sized precision components for high-profile, global customers.

As a Senior Machinist or Team Leader in a fast-paced CNC machining environment, your role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and meeting customer demands. Here's a breakdown of how you can effectively fulfill your responsibilities:

* Support Production Manager: Assist in efficient operations and communication

* Lead Teams: Ensure teams meet quality, cost, and delivery goals

* Drive Improvement: Promote innovation and process enhancements

* Meet Targets: Ensure production meets daily and company targets

* Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work with other teams to meet customer needs

* Manage Shifts: Coordinate handovers and resolve issues promptly

* Prioritise Safety: Reduce accidents and hazards, follow regulations

* Team Accountability: Manage performance, conduct, and development

* Maintain Systems: Keep documentation and processes up to date

What experience do you need?

* Previous CNC Team Leader, Cell Leader, or Machining Supervisor experience within CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning

* Background in machining small to medium-sized precision components for industries like Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, or Medical sectors

* Track record of hitting team targets in quality, cost, and delivery standards

* Previous experience training, mentoring and developing your team / others including PDP’s, operating within a skill matrix format

* Understanding of health and safety/housekeeping standards within an engineering / manufacturing environment

* Successful implementation of continuous improvement plans for cost reduction, productivity, quality, and safety

What do you get?

* Permanent position, offering stability and longevity

* Competitive salary - £18 - £19.50 per hour

* Days 48 hours. Monday to Thursday - 6 am - 6 pm

* Option to work 39 hours if required. Monday - Thursday - 07:30-16:00. Friday - 07:30-12:30
