Job Description

Astute's Power team is partnering with a large sugar production company to recruit a Multi-Skilled Technician for its sites in Bury St Edmunds.

The Multi-Skilled Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £52,000 + benefits package

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting directly to the APU Engineer Lead you will be responsible for:

Work as part of the engineering team to carry out maintenance on machinery and equipment, including but not limited to; product handling equipment, milling equipment, LV electrical equipment.
Troubleshooting and fault finding on plant.
Installation and commissioning of new plant or modifications
Carrying out planning inspection routes on the processing plant
Reporting all maintenance activities via the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

An NVQ level 3 as a time-service apprentice is essential in a relevant engineering discipline.
A further qualification, such as a HNC is highly desirable
At least three years' experience in a process environment (e.g. power station, chemical plant, paper mill, refinery, FMCG etc).

The Multi-Skilled Technician role would suit someone who is:
