Job Description

We are a long established and successful company who are one of Europe's leading designers and manufactures within the engineering sector. We employ over 250 staff and due to our continued growth, we are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our busy and friendly Engineering Team.

We have a large manufacturing plant based at our Headquarters in Frimley and the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with completion of preventative and breakdown maintenance activities across all areas of the business with the aim of maximising machine availability.

You may be doing this type of work as part of another role but be keen to secure a role that is focussed on the maintenance technician duties or you might come from an outsourced maintenance role and be keen to get an in house position. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual interested and looking to get into an engineering career.

As the Maintenance Technician you will be expected to undertake the following tasks:

Assist with planned maintenance checks on manufacturing machinery as per Amazon’s planned maintenance programme.
Assist with the management of planned maintenance schedules, ensure they are adhered to and keep up to date records of planned maintenance activities.
Assist in identifying improvements for planned maintenance activities/schedules.
Assist with machine breakdowns, repair & problem-solving activities.
Assist with the analysis of breakdown, root causes & proposed remedial actions to address repeating issues.
Assist with machinery related continuous improvement activities.
To be successful for the Maintenance Technician role you will have experience of working with manufacturing process equipment and ideally possess an engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, BTEC, HNC/HND, etc.). You will be computer literate and have an engineering & Mechanical aptitude. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills being that you will be liaising with all stakeholders across the business.
