Job Description

Are you an experienced HCPC registered psychologist looking for an exciting new permanent position? We're working with an outstanding private client who are seeking a qualified psychologist to join their adult psychiatric intensive care unit.

You will oversee the implementation of the psychological model across the wards, working closely with a skilled team including Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and a wider multi-disciplinary team of professionals.

This is a diverse role involving:

Assessment and formulation.
Range of brief and impactful interventions.
Risk assessment.
Indirect working, consultation, and training to the wider staffing team.
Supporting psychological approaches to care.
Providing clinical supervision to other members of the psychological therapies team.

Candidate Requirements:

Interest in, knowledge of, and experience working psychologically with complex client groups and risk.
Some post-qualification experience desirable; newly qualified psychologists considered.
Enjoyment of working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Ability to provide containing support to teams in pressured and challenging services.
Ability to form positive relationships with colleagues and work effectively in teams.
Drive to develop innovative approaches to intervening psychologically.
Interest in contributing to service development in conjunction with the lead clinician.
