Procurement Assistant

Doncaster – £14.36 p/hr

Based in the stores, the Procurement Assistant will:

Work closely with the Purchasing Manager, being responsible for maintaining and restocking the engineering parts stores using SAP.

Ensure that purchasing records remain true to the correct budget.

Ensure stock levels in both the main stores and the goods in stores are maintained, highlighting any "stock outages" and assisting in the formulation of a contingency plan to replenish or replace.

You will play a major part in sourcing & purchasing cost effective materials, components and consumables.

Updating SAP after stock takes and provide the necessary data to support the Min/Max stock levels to be implemented.

Where required you will actively strive to increase machinery up time and improve equipment efficiency by highlighting any anomalies or high turnover parts/items per machine.

To be successful, the Procurement Assistant will have worked in a position:

Ensuring stock levels are maintained, taking into account production and budgetary requirements.

You will have highlighted "stock outages" and assisted in the formulation of contingency plans to replenish or replace.

You will have sourced & purchased materials, components and consumables.

Maintained, restocked and updating stock info on SAP.

Be happy to work in a stores environment assigning and issuing stock to engineers.

The Procurement Assistant is temporary at first, permanent for the right person and benefits include

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (30-minute lunch break)

Pay rate: £14.36 p/hr

Holidays: 28 days whilst temp, increases to 33 (25 plus 8) when taken on perm
