HGV Technician / Mechanic
Wolverhampton, West Midlands
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Permanent position

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic / Technician for a well-established and successful transport business near Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Heavy Goods Vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include:
Fault diagnostics and repair work on a variety of HGVs - Artics, Tippers, Low-loaders, Trailers etc.
Carry out regular safety inspections to DVSA standards
Correctly complete all paperwork, including job cards and service sheets in a timely manner
Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping throughout all working areas
Maintain excellent standards of health and safety
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
Work well with team members to ensure timely repairs and exceptional customer service is achieved

Skills & Experience required includes:
Proven experience as an HGV/PSV/LGV Mechanic / Technician is essential
Full Class 1 C+E Driving Licence is required
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
Strong knowledge of heavy goods vehicle systems and components
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work well, both independently and as part of a team
